Spartn ("we," "us," or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application, Spartn (the "App"), including its in-app subscription features. Please read this policy carefully. If you do not agree with the terms of this Privacy Policy, please do not use the App.
1. Information We Collect
We collect information about you in the following ways:
a. Information You Provide
- Account Information: When you create an account using Firebase Authentication, we collect your user ID and, if provided, your email address to authenticate your identity and manage your account.
- Subscription Information: When you purchase a subscription (e.g., Spartn Pro Monthly for $9.99/month or Spartn Pro Yearly for $99.99/year with a 7-day free trial), we collect transaction details through Apple’s StoreKit, including subscription status, purchase date, and expiration date. We do not collect or store payment information such as credit card details, as these are handled by Apple.
b. Automatically Collected Information
- Usage Data: We may collect information about how you interact with the App, such as features used (e.g., workout generation, recipe creation), timestamps, and subscription status (e.g., active, inactive).
- Device Information: We may collect device information, such as your device type, operating system (iOS), and unique device identifiers, to ensure compatibility and improve the App’s functionality.
- Firestore Data: We store subscription-related data in Firebase Firestore, including your user ID, subscription status (e.g., "premium" or "inactive"), authorization level (e.g., 49 for premium users), whether ads are shown, total cost (e.g., $10.00 for monthly, $99.99 for yearly), and expiration date.
c. Information from Third Parties
- Apple: When you make an in-app purchase, Apple provides us with transaction details (e.g., product ID, transaction ID) to verify and manage your subscription.
- Firebase: Firebase Authentication provides us with your user ID and authentication status to secure your account.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to:
- Provide and Manage Subscriptions: Process and manage your Spartn Pro subscriptions, including activating premium features (e.g., unlimited workout generation, ad-free experience) and updating your subscription status in Firestore.
- Authenticate Users: Verify your identity through Firebase Authentication to ensure secure access to the App.
- Improve the App: Analyze usage data to enhance features, performance, and user experience.
- Communicate with You: Send you notifications about your subscription status (e.g., renewal reminders) or respond to support requests via priority support for premium users.
- Comply with Legal Obligations: Meet legal and regulatory requirements, such as tax reporting for subscription revenue.
3. How We Share Your Information
We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties. We may share your information in the following cases:
- Service Providers: We use Firebase (Google LLC) for authentication and data storage and Apple for in-app purchase processing. These providers process your data under strict confidentiality agreements and only to provide services to the App.
- Legal Requirements: We may disclose your information if required by law, such as to comply with a subpoena, court order, or other legal process.
- Business Transfers: If Spartn is involved in a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, your information may be transferred to the new entity, with notice to you and in accordance with applicable laws.
4. In-App Subscriptions
The App offers in-app subscriptions (Spartn Pro Monthly and Spartn Pro Yearly) to unlock premium features. The following applies:
- Payment Processing: All subscription payments are processed securely by Apple via StoreKit. We do not access or store your payment information (e.g., credit card details).
- Subscription Data: We store subscription-related data (e.g., user ID, subscription status, authorization level, total cost, expiration date) in Firebase Firestore to manage your access to premium features.
- Free Trial: Both subscriptions include a 7-day free trial. You can cancel during the trial period without charge through the App Store. After the trial, the subscription auto-renews unless canceled at least 24 hours before the renewal date.
- Cancellation: You can manage or cancel your subscription in the App Store under your Apple ID settings. Upon cancellation, your subscription status in Firestore will update to "inactive," and premium features will be disabled.
- Restore Purchases: You can restore previous purchases via the "Restore Purchases" button in the App, which syncs your subscription status with Firestore.
5. Data Security
We implement reasonable security measures to protect your information, including:
- Firebase Security: Firebase Authentication and Firestore use industry-standard encryption and access controls to secure your user ID and subscription data.
- Limited Data Collection: We collect only the data necessary to provide the App’s functionality.
- Regular Updates: We update the App and its integrations to address security vulnerabilities.
However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure. While we strive to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security.
6. Your Rights and Choices
Depending on your location, you may have the following rights:

- Correction: Request corrections to inaccurate or incomplete data.
- Deletion: Request deletion of your personal information, subject to legal obligations (e.g., retaining transaction records for tax purposes).

To exercise these rights, contact us at [insert contact email]. EU and California residents have additional rights under GDPR and CCPA, respectively, including the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority (GDPR) or opt out of data sales (CCPA, though we do not sell data).
7. Data Retention
We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services. Subscription data (e.g., transaction records) may be retained for up to 7 years to comply with tax and legal obligations. You can request account deletion by contacting us, after which we will delete your data from Firestore, except for legally required records.
8. Children’s Privacy
The App is not intended for users under 13 (or 16 in the EU). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we learn that a child’s data has been collected, we will delete it promptly. Contact us if you believe a child’s data has been collected.
9. International Data Transfers
Your information may be processed in the United States, where Firebase and our servers are located. By using the App, you consent to the transfer of your data to the U.S., which may have different data protection laws than your country. We rely on Firebase’s compliance with GDPR and other frameworks for EU data transfers.
